About
My family and I make our home in Medina now but I’ve had the opportunity to live and work all across the state, as well as Florida and South Carolina. I am a lifelong Cleveland sports fan and I gathered an affinity for the Bluejackets and Buckeyes after living in Columbus.
Experience & Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and hold a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walsh University. I specialize in working with relationship issues for couples, families, & individuals, most often employing a solution-focused approach in order to shift away from problem conversations & move towards positive change. I have experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy, & concepts from THE authority on relationships, Dr. John & Jane Gottman.
My goal is to create an atmosphere that allows for quick and substantive change through a positive & solution-focused approach. Making the choice to seek out counseling can be a difficult one. When individuals come to me, having made this choice, I see it as my responsibility to utilize tried and proven measures to help evoke change. Counseling represents an opportunity to not only work on ourselves but also enrich the relationships we have with those around us.
